Call for Workshops
Hosting a workshop is a great opportunity to share information about the work of intergenerational collaboration in shaping a culture of well-being for present and future generations throughout Atlantic Canada.
Workshops will be 90 minutes in length and will be offered in the afternoon of August 19th and the morning of August 20th. Abstracts should address the theme and objectives of ASI 2026: Shaping a Culture of Wellbeing for Present and Future Generations and demonstrate how participants will enhance skills that support advancement of the ASI Policy Brief
ANTICIPATED OUTCOMES
As a result of the workshop, participants will learn to promote infant, child and youth mental health across generations from real life experiences and evidence informed approaches. Most workshops will be offered in person; two will be offered online.
Writing Your Abstract
Your application should include the following:
- A title and description of your workshop (approximately 150 words)
- The connection/relationship between your workshop and the theme Shaping a Culture of Wellbeing for Present and Future Generations and the ASI Policy Brief
- The objectives of your workshop
- What others will learn from your workshop
- Your preferred date – August 19 or 20
- A short biography of the presenter (150 words)
- Please provide a short description of your organization
- Contact information
Applications may be submitted in English and/or French and must be received by June 1, 2026.
the review process
A panel of reviewers will review as to how they:
- Relate to the theme of Shaping a Culture of Wellbeing for Present and Future Generations
- Are innovative and demonstrate promising collaborative practices, policies, research
- Engage more than one generation and sector
- Advance the priority areas of the ASI Policy Brief
We will send you an acknowledgement when we receive the description/abstract of your workshop. Applications will be reviewed by a panel with feedback communicated by June 10, 2026.
Forum Registration
Agreeing to accept an offer to present confirms that you agree to register for the Forum and make this presentation as scheduled. The Forum will be a learning experience for all attendees, including presenters. We request that all presenters commit to attending the full Forum, from August 18-20th.
You will need to cover the costs of registration, accommodations and travel. Most meals during the ASI are included as part of the registration. It is also possible for a presenter to apply for a subsidy to support costs of registration, travel, accommodation, and meals that are not covered by the registration. A limited number of subsidies are available.
