Have you worked in a program or project that was inspired by a great idea? Have you developed an innovative policy to influence the health and safety of your community? Have you seen positive results that you would like to share with others? If yes, we invite you to share your experience with others at the 2012 Atlantic Summer Institute on Healthy and Safe Communities (ASI)!
The ASI is calling for presentations that profile promising practices, programs, policies, experiences or lessons learned that relate to the theme of leadership and active communities, and connect with: gender; social and economic development; crime prevention and community safety; health promotion; and environmental sustainability.
We welcome presentations in French and/or English to be featured during the “Atlantic Community Showcase” Wednesday, August 22nd, 2012 as part of the Atlantic Summer Institute to be held in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. We will give priority to proposals from Atlantic Canada but we also encourage others to submit ideas.
The deadline for submissions is Monday, May 7th, 2012.
